Quote of the Week

Socrates

If a man comes to the door of poetry untouched by the madness of the Muses, believing that technique alone will make him a good poet, he and his sane compositions never reach perfections, but are utterly eclipsed by the performance of the inspired madman.

{Socrates, in Plato’s Phaedrus and Letters VII and VII}

I have always been an artist, from the time I found that paper clips had lead and would mark on walls. Theology grew quietly, as did my relationship with God who I know in the Trinity of Creator, Christ and Spirit. I am an ordained Minister in the United Reformed Church and spend much of my time training those in ministry. With my husband, I am Director of a company promoting social inclusion. Art, theology and community development all go together for me - all differing ways to show that people are deeply important.
