I am originally from the United States but moved to the United Kingdom in 1987, serving as a minister in local churches and then teaching at Mansfield College, Oxford. In 2001 I joined the United Reformed Church International Relations Office, first as the International Relations Programme Officer and finally as Secretary for World Church Relations. I have travelled extensively throughout the world on fact-finding missions, to create programmes with international partners and to assist in development projects.
I retired early - a gift from my wife Roberta - and am now spending my time reading, writing, keeping the house and working in the garden. I have a wide range of interests and looking at my bookshelves in my study you would see books about anthropology, philosophy, theology, history, film and theatre, and of course fiction, ranging from the literary to the just plain fun. I have been around the world a few times and the photos in Cafe Pictures in the main menu are from some of the places I have visited. However, I am home now in London where I live with Roberta.
